My name is Brad Carter. I am a dog lover first, and a dog trainer second. I know from first-hand experience the difference dog training makes in the relationship between dog and owner. Without professional training it can sometimes be a frustrating relationship, but with an investment in good training a wonderful transformation will occur. I have been working with dogs and their owners for many years and there is nothing which satisfies me more than to see a happy dog and a happy owner! My mission is to help you and your dog enjoy many happy years together.

As the Lead Liaison for Santa Monica Paws Pet Concierge, I manage the day to day business and oversee all business decisions including website design, SEO Marketing, scheduling and coordinating cost for services. I love dogs and grew up training German Shepherds and Malinois with my father who was a State Trooper. My expertise is working with large dogs that need Behavior Modification Training. I've been training dogs for years and have completed over 1000 hours of training. I use these Training Methods: Pavlov's Classical Conditioning Theory & B.F. Skinner's Operant Conditioning Theory: Positive Reinforcement, Relationship Based Training, Model-Mirror Rival, Science Based Training. I will show you how to apply Leadership Techniques in your style of training with your dog.

I am also versed in "transitional training" for dogs & cats who come from a shelter or rescue environment. I often get asked to help families train cats or dogs who need adjustment training in a home with other pets. Over the past 15 years, I've volunteered with and fostered animals from several Dog & Cat Rescues in Los Angeles, including LOEM (League of Extraordinary Mutts), The Lange Foundation, GreySave Greyhound Rescue, and VanderPump Dog Rescue. I truly enjoy helping people and animals and I am ready to help you create a healthy trusting bond and well balanced relationship with your pets.

Currently I am a Member of the Association for Professional Dog Trainers. I continue advancing my knowledge of the Dog Training Profession by attending Seminars and Conferences, and learning from the best Behavior Consultants and Trainers in the world.

I have established a growing affiliation with the Vanderpump Dog Rescue in Los Angeles, California, and SMP collaborates with their efforts to medically treat, care for, and rescue thousands of mistreated dogs around the globe, and specifically in Yulin, China.
