One of the biggest problems that pet owners face today is when their dog pulls them down the street on their walks. In this video you will learn several techniques to help you curb your dog's pulling behavior.
Most people do not commonly practice the place command with their pets. They’d rather have their pets lay in their laps or allow them to walk all over the human furniture and lots of other belongings. However, you’ll find this Training Tip beneficial for many reasons. For Example: When company come over, this command could mean the difference between your dog rudely jumping on your guests, or behaving calmly on their bed because you instructed them to "Go to Place". Meanwhile, you and your dog will build a stronger more respectful relationship with each other.

However, be careful of reinforcing unwanted behavior by providing treats at the wrong time.
Teaching Come Recalls is one of the most important skills you can give your dog. It can mean the difference between life or death. When you train your dog from a very young age to come to you at home and you receive a reliable recall, you’ll need to proof the behavior over and over again by adding more distractions to the training sessions.

How long does it take to train a dog to be trustworthy off leash you say? Well that really depends on your efforts to train your dog and the efforts of everyone else involved. We are dedicated to training every puppy into adulthood, until they've plateaued. Once an Adult dog has reached a point of plateau that simply means, it's time to refresh their memory on the skills they've learned, and take a Tune-Up Course in the Fundamentals.
Working with your dog on a daily basis on simple training steps will yield positive results. Miller is the quintessential example of a dog that everyone dreams of having. He listens to commands when asked, and is a naturally well mannered bernadoodle. All the work we’ve put into training him has really paid off! Since a young age of 9 weeks old, we started training him. He’s now 2 years old. You’ll watch in this video how responsive he is to the trainer’s visual cues and verbal commands. He’s able to block out all distractions big and small and still follows directions. This is the best example we can give you of a dog that has the fundamental skills needed to perform this difficult task: to sit & down-stay for 1 minute (Off Leash) with major distractions, and without the use of an E-Collar or any other Aversive Equipment.

You will receive valuable education from our expert trainers to solve all things puppy:
SOCIALIZATION is the process of introducing a puppy to the world in a way that will help him be confident and unafraid of people, places and things that he will encounter throughout his life. The most critical socialization window occurs before the age of 12 weeks, and that window is considered to be closing by 5 months. Generally the younger the puppy is when he is socialized, the more quickly and easily he gains confidence. Waiting too long can result in a need for the more difficult process of rehabilitation instead of socialization. Most aggression issues are simply a result of inefficient socialization.
RULES OF SOCIALIZATION: Each socialization exposure must be fun for your puppy. If he is forced to confront fears he's not ready to handle, the process can backfire and create a fearful/aggressive response. Go at his pace, and at a distance he feels safe. Your puppy should be the one to initiate each approach to something new and be allowed to retreat when needed to feel safe. Socialization includes generalization. Though your puppy may be fine with the toddlers or dogs in your home, that does not mean he is fine with all children and dogs. Even if he is in a class, he will need to meet new and different dogs and people, and in different places, after his classmates and their owners become familiar to him. You need to continue to expose him to new things, places, and contexts to best generalize his confidence with new things. Pair treats with exposures to make good associations. If your puppy is worried about those children he sees running across the street, it can help if the sight of the children makes cheese suddenly appear. Or if he doesn’t like her paws touched, a brief touch followed by a lick of peanut butter from a spoon can make paw touches easier to handle. If he will not take food, that is a good indication that you need to backup and lower the intensity of the exposure with more distance or less pressure. If your puppy seems to be fearful of certain things and doesn’t gain confidence quickly, we are here to help you! Remember that socialization is a time-sensitive procedure.
Whether you want to teach basic manners or iron out more serious behavioral issues, you can expect in person or virtual training with us to make an immediate impact on your dog or puppy’s behavior with the use of training games that develop self-control and make learning fun for your dog,
